“The Feminine Grace” Showcases Women’s Creativity in Iligan

In celebration of National Women’s Month 2025, HULMA‑Iligan Creatives Collective partnered with The Threaded Tales Organization and DTI–Lanao del Norte to organize The Feminine Grace, themed Empower, Express, Elevate. The event featured a sustainable fashion showcase called Mabulokong Kurba Fashion Show, where pre-loved clothing was upcycled using traditional Maranao textiles—a project led by HULMA’s Design Cluster head, Anna Leah Sanson, through the Hinayhay initiative.

Beyond fashion, the event included the Gahum: Women’s Power on Canvas art exhibit, with student artists like Krista Marie Abing displaying expressive works inspired by Manobo attire. The Art Tabo Market, held at Espasyo (HULMA’s creative hub), provided a space for women artisans to sell handmade creations and participate in free workshops on crochet, beadwork, embroidery, and floral arrangement
